Happy new year! It’s been really hard for me to get back in the swing of things since returning from my vacation last week so we’re keeping it brief today… Here we go!
A smattering of things I added to my “keeping my eye on you” folder towards the end of the year…

In December I was also invited to partner with Tappan Collective and offered to choose a piece from a selection of their works. I received this collaged work by Leigh Wells, based on Ikebana techniques and while I had planned to hang it in my office, I’ve been enjoying it so much at home I might have to find a place for it there! I also wouldn’t say no if they wanted to gift me a piece by Yeon Kyung Park or Virginie Hucher…
In the mayhem of shooting three projects this Fall I also got new headshots taken. Here is one of the options I just got back, in a new favorite top, which makes me feel like I look put together without having to try so hard.
I hosted a holiday trunk show for Sherman Field at my apartment. The vibes were cozy, the food (by my friend’s company Stocked) was yummy, and the jewelry was drop dead, obviously. I may have snagged a pair of earrings for myself…
It was the coldest December I can remember in a long time here in NYC, but luckily I had many warm and toasty meals to pass the time. I had dinner with friends at Cafe Chelsea - their Maitake Au Poivre was just written up in the Times, so of course that was a must order and it did not disappoint! I love this legendary hotel and all of the kooky art strewn throughout the lobby…
I also had high tea service at Lady Mendl’s with two girlfriends and it’s such a fun and festive way to celebrate the end of the year. Would also take my girls, as I think they would enjoy and it feels less uptight than The Plaza…
I closed out the year with a family trip to Cabo and the weather was yet again spectacular - not a cloud in the sky. For the most part I really unplugged and enjoyed the time away with our kids and friends, so not a lot to report. Plus it’s the exact same trip we took last year. Though it lacks the excitement I often draw from travel, there is something to be said for familiarity and ease, which is just what I’m looking for come the close of the year…
I hope you were all able to unwind, decompress, and spend time with the ones you love this holiday season as well!
With love and gratitude for your support.
Love Tappan Collective!
